OUR MODEL: WHAT IT SHOWS
Our model shows the recycling process in London, Ontario
At the house, the people who live there put their cans into the container bin and leave the bins at the curb.
The garbage picks up the garbage and recycling and takes it to the recycling plant.
The containers get transferred onto a conveyor belt where the cans are sorted by the magnetic belt and dropped into a baler.
The cans get baled and the bales get picked up by a truck and transported to a factory where the metal is turned back into cans.
Our model also has a landfill where garbage bags are put and a Hazardous Waste Depot where things that are not safe for the landfill can be dropped off.
